Non-Surgical Fat Reduction Options
Hamilton Skin Clinic offers consultations for non-surgical cosmetic procedures that may assist with localised fat concerns. These treatments are not intended for weight loss and are not a substitute for surgical procedures. Suitability is determined during a professional assessment.
The injectable formulation used contains compounds such as phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholic acid, which are naturally present in the body. Phosphatidylcholine is commonly derived from soybeans and has been used in cosmetic settings under clinical supervision.
Treatment areas may include the submental region (under the chin), upper arms, abdomen, thighs, hips, and flanks. Each procedure involves a series of microinjections administered by a qualified clinician. Sessions are typically spaced 2–4 weeks apart, with the number of treatments varying based on individual response and treatment area.
Mild side effects such as swelling, bruising, or tenderness may occur and generally resolve within a few days. Your clinician will explain all risks, limitations, and expected outcomes during consultation.
This procedure differs from mesotherapy in its formulation and application. While mesotherapy may involve a mixture of vitamins and other compounds injected into the skin, this treatment uses a standardised solution administered to fatty tissue.
