Jo Wilson is a registered nurse and nurse practitioner candidate working in the fields of dermatology and cosmetic medicine. Jo has a certificate in skin cancer medicine and dermoscopy, with this, works as part of a corporate team delivering life saving early intervention dermoscopy services & health/wellness education in regional and remote areas all over Australia.
Graduating from the Queensland University of Technology, Jo brings 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse to the role. Jo has a Masters degree in Advanced Practice Nursing and 8 years of specialty experience in cosmetic and dermatological treatments. Jo also offers private mentoring for Doctors and Nurses wishing to enter this specialised field.
After growing up on a cattle station in the Queensland outback, Jo was drawn to the field of skin cancer medicine, particularly melanoma, after witnessing the devastating effects of melanoma on her community, which fueled her interest in early detection and intervention strategies. She regularly attends both Australian and international education conferences with world-renowned practitioners in the dermatology, cosmetic medicine, and skincare industries.
